Demonstration Garden

At 7 Scov Crescent off of Eramosa in Guelph, we have a beautiful garden which people are welcome to visit and take a look at.  The homeowners welcome people to take a look at the gardens.  Please just watch your step!

Markets

In addition to those listed below, there is work being done with Guelph Wellington Local Food to create another farmer's market in town.  Stay tuned! 

Guelph Farmer's Market

We are at the Guelph Farmer’s Market each Saturday from 7am to noon!  We now have a permanent table across from the cheese vendor by the door closest to the train tracks along Gordon.  

Borealis Market

We have a stand at the Brealis Grille each Saturday from 12:30pm to 4pm.  Borealis will also have several preserved foods for sale at this time.  This is a great option for those who can't make it early on Saturdays downtown or live in the south end.

Waterloo Ave Neighbourhood Market

We are selling some produce at the Wellington Chiropractic Centre when we have the pick-ups for the CSA shares.  Polestar Hearth Bakery, Irvine Creek Organics and Green Table Foods (Meals that Heal) also have prepared goods for sale.  This is located at 12 Waterloo (first parking lot on the left) across from the Farmer's Market.  We will be there from 4:30 to 6:30 on Tuesdays. Come on out! 

Norwich Neighbourhood Market

There is now a small market at the Islamic Society of Guelph at 126 Norwich St. E.  The market isTuesdays from 4 to 8pm.  Polestar Hearth Bakery, Irvine Creek Organics, and Alex and Dan Catering as well as some local artisans are selling their goods as well.  This is a family friendly venue on a quiet street, so come by with your children and get some fresh, healthy produce!

Looking for...

We are currently looking for clean grocery bags for use at our CSA pick-up and various markets.  If you or anyone you know has some bags that they would like reused, please let us know! Thanks!!!

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers who have been coming out and helping us! 

Backyard Bounty has all the lawn space we need for this season now thanks to all of the very generous homeowners throughout Guelph!  If you have recently applied or would still like to apply, we may be viewing properties later in the summer for the following year.  This is really helpful for us so that we can prepare the properties in the fall for the upcoming season.

We would also like to thanks Shuh's Appliance Centre for the donation of a washing machine for washing our salad mixes!   It is working great!
